The pressure was unbearable. Yet Wes felt calm and happy, but was silenced and bound. He could hardly feel the wind flow through his darkened clothes and sandy hair, despite the speed he was heading towards the ground. His eye lids became heavy. And despite the air escaping his body, he couldn't help but drift away into nothingness.
"My friends... I'm sorry I couldn't join you this time..."
His eyes closed then opened once more. Every time he closed them, they got heavier and harder to open. Transparent crystal tears uncontrollably forced themselves from his azure blue eyes. He struggled to inhale, and did so very slowly. He began to do so less and less frequently. As if he lost the ability to do it anymore.
He could not describe that day clearly at all. It had felt like his “other self” was running, enjoying and continuing the mundane reality of his days. He could see through someone else’s eyes, feel through someone else’s touch, and matched that very heart beat from beat. However, at some point unknown to him, his heart had stopped, just for a moment, and it had felt like he had fallen down and knocked himself unconscious with a klutzy thought that tripped him. One wrong thought, one unsure feeling of his heart had disrupted the flow, and he awakened to find that he was no longer one with the world he loved most.
"Life...is still a drag."
He chuckled to himself, watching the golden aura illuminate everything in his view. His mind was in a blur, his thoughts flowing around as if he had been hit by a very powerful blow to his head. Panels of thoughts slowly decayed and shattered into millions of tiny fragments, only showing a body, it's face as blank as a untouched canvas, holding his hand out in a friendly manner. Slowly, it started to disappear into the darkness of the nothingness.
"We'll be tight till the very end! right Wes?"
The voice said as it's voice became distorted and gritty, stretching into the far depths of the darkness. Wes could only just fall into the darkness, not making any attempt to accept this figure's help. His eyes opened once more, his body was burning with emotions.
A flash of blue light shone through the darkness, getting brighter and brighter until finally becoming so bright, that the young boy had to forcefully close his eyes to avoid being blinded by the purity.
His body was enveloped in the azure blue light, slowly beginning to descend, dancing gracefully through the black velvet sky. Quickly Wes's body slammed hard against the surface beneath him. Sand rose up and covered his clothes in it's rusty gold residue. A cold wind blew across thefamiliar area. He felt he had been here long ago...not really all that long ago though. Everything seemed serene and peaceful, that is, until an odd ripping sound interrupted the melodious sound of the ocean. Wes forcefully opened his eyes as he gazed above, he was able to finally see a similar sight he once encounter when he was younger. Stars, Moons, Planets and small Comets all hung over him, covering the black mistake known as the sky in a beautiful array of dazzling colours. Was this even Earth? Wes did not know himself, countless images forced themselves into his head, a bloody, battered body laying on the rocky ground below it. People gathered around it, crystal clear tears falling onto the blood drenched body, until one voice broke through the mindless chatter.
"Wes! Come back!"
That one voice made Wes realize the truth. He wasn't alive anymore...
